Mark Essick Band is a three piece blues rock band from Chicago. The band is comprised of Mark Essick on vocals and guitar, Jeff Hansel on Bass guitar, and Terrance Peeples on drums. Their raw and powerful grooves captures audiences and gets them moving. The band plays original music and standards from the blues rock and southern rock genres. Influences include but are not limited to SRV, The Allman Brothers, Clapton, Hendrix, BB King, Freddy King, Warren Haynes, Gary Clark Jr, Jeff Healy and much more.  Music is their passion and it is evident in every beat of every show. 

Mark Essick
Mark is a Chicago singer and guitarist ecompassing many syles. He can deliver blues, rock, country, and everything from SRV to Sublime to country hits. He plays throughtout the midwest and Florida both with his band and acoustic. His origional music has a uptempo feel and a dirty blues hue. Inspired by Hendrix, Clapton, The 3 Kings, SRV, and an eclectic mix of rock and roll, he fuses many stlyes that inspire him.  Check him out live for an exciting and fun musical experience.

Jeff Hansel
Jeff holds a music degree with Jazz and Classical Bass Performance and Music Composition. He has been ripping up the scene in Chicago for almost 30 years not only performing Jazz and Classical but other styles such as Blues, Rock, Ethnic, Reggae, Country, Folk and Big Band. Jeff has had the privilege to have played with many great musicians from all over the US, in and out of the midwest and traveling many times to LA, Nashville and New York. When not performing or rehearsing Jeff spends time teaching bass, guitar and piano. You can see Jeff performing in Television shows and major motion movies.

Terrance Peeples
Terrance P. Peeples is a graduate of Western Illinois University, Illinois State University and Joliet Jr. College with a Masters, Bachelors and Associates degree in Percussion Performance with a minor in Music Education.  Mr. Peeps was a music professor teaching percussion, music history, music theory and jazz band for 22 years and was very active in the marching percussion world.  He was the winner of Chicagoland's Best Drummer contest in 1991 sponsored by 103.5 WBBZ (The Blaze) and also the drumset 2001 individual champion at the Senior Drum Corps finals in Syracuse, NY.  He is currently a freelance musician in Chicagoland in which he plays: jazz, rock, blues, country, hand drumming and steel drum gigs.
